You can go into genetic counseling with an undergraduate degree in any field, although you'll have a competitive edge if you have a strong background in biology. You can also prepare yourself by working or volunteering in a counseling/helping environment and by shadowing and/or interning with a genetic counselor.

 

Applications for autumn 2011 will be available August 1st at: University of Cincinnati Online Application (when searching for the program, you can select either the program name or the college name (College of Medicine)
